Feeling semi-confident that you could tackle some of the home renovations that inspire you on TV? Maybe you want to, but you’re feeling nervous about making mistakes along the way that you’ll have to fix later. Wouldn’t it be nice to feel the pride that comes with doing it yourself and learning new skills, but have a professional to help, consult and guide you along the way?
There’s a solution here: DIY….with help!
Belmore Renovations can help you stay on track while completing your DIY home renovation. We’ve developed a custom program that starts with an initial consultation to help you plan your reno, source supplies, and even rent the tools you need to get the job done (instead of shelling out cash for every tool you need for one project!).
Plus, while you’re working on your renovation project, we’re there every step of the way to help keep you on track and achieve your vision.

How It Works

Initial Site Visit
We kick things off by meeting with you on-site, getting to know your vision for the space you want to DIY. From there, we review the ideal renovation plan and compile a list of the following:
  • Showing you how to begin the job. This includes things like squaring the area, ensuring it is level, and reviewing any issues that could require additional support (such as electrical or plumbing).
  • Setting up all your materials and equipment for you, safely.
  • Guiding you through the first few steps of the job. For example, with a tiling project we would go over how much of a gap to leave between the wall and tile and how to cut tile at different angles.
  • Showing you as we begin the first few rows or the first few steps of the project, giving you tips and tricks, answering questions and making sure you’re feeling confident to tackle it yourself.
  • Supervising as you take over those first few steps, giving feedback and assistance as needed.
  • Answering any and all questions you have. Once you’re feeling comfortable and clear on your next steps, it’s time for you to take over and….DIY!
  • Once you’ve made your way through this first phase of your DIY project, you simply book your next site visit and we go through the same steps for the next phase! The number of site visits in total is dependent on the size and scope of your project and is reviewed with you during the planning phase.
